4-year-old Daycare & School Squad
The LMCPD School Squad Classroom is open to all children ages 4-12. Our classroom is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
During the School Year
Before & After Preschool Classes, daycare is available for all 4 & 5-year-olds.
Kindergarten Prep Daycare is also available on days in which students do not have school.
Before & After School Care is available to all students in kindergarten thru age 12. (Transportation is provided to and from the Lake Mills Community School by the school district. The bus picks up the children and drops them off right at our door.)
Meals are provided to students at various times throughout the day. Breakfast is served to students before school (7:30-7:55), Snack (9:45-10:00), Lunch (11:45-12:15), and afternoon snack is served once the children get off the bus (3:30-3:45).
No School Days during the school year are filled with lots of fun activities at LMCPD. Our center is always staffed appropriately to accommodate the school-age children on vacation and in-service days.
During the Summer Months
Field Trips are taken once a week to various locations in the surrounding communities. A few places we have visited in the past include: miniature golf, bowing, movie theaters, aquatic centers, the North Iowa Fair, picnics to area parks and lakes, Pilot Knob, Lime Creek Nature Center, etc.
Swimming trips to the Lake Mills Aquatic Center are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We require that families have a pool pass for the Lake Mills Aquatic Center.
Transportation is provided to various community activities such as: the 2nd session of swimming lessons at the Lake Mills Aquatic Center, Lake Mills Park & Rec T-ball and coach pitch ball, Bible school at the Winnebago Lutheran Church, Summer School at LMCS, and the Summer Reading Program at the Lake Mills Library.
